The Hotel Wales is a beautiful historic hotel on the upper east side of Manhattan, built in 1904. Over the years the lobby has been renovated and lost much of the elegance it once had and although suites have maintained their architectural integrity, layers of renovations have diminished the original quality.
Our work included the redesign of the public lobby, three suites, and one penthouse. The direction taken was to restore and uncover elements of the remaining original design and repair and upgrade the furnishings and finished throughout, Particular attention has been paid to the finishes and quality of architectural elements as well as modernizing hotel operations where possible by integrating new systems.
